Analyzing Primary & Secondary Resources

    The primary and secondary source, both reveal that the transportation system inhibits students from being successful in pursuing their education because it can stop students from where they need to be in a timely manner, stop them from staying on campus to socialize with friends or attend office hours; all in all taking harmful effect on physical and mental health the longer students have to commute via public transportation. The article Transportation Challenges When it Comes to Students supports this by giving insight of how the transportation system isolates students from campus activities and being involved.

     The transportation of San Diego has been a persistent issue amongst SDSU students, not accommodating to their needs when it comes to physical and mental health. Especially, when it comes to their education, which can physically and mentally drain students when it comes to the lengthy commutes which could have been used for studying. The Effect of Transportation System on Students & Evidence

  The effect of using negative language to describe the transit system, informs readers of the negatives of using public transit and how it does not support students’ education. It also reveals how the powerhouse, which would be the transit system in this context, needs to support students by improving their system to accommodate students' needs. In the interview with my interviewee, (D. Santiago, personal communication, March 11, 2026), he stated, “"I think it'll just be more inconvenient. So it wouldn't be harder in a sense, like, like, the material is harder, but it would just be like, worse on the amount of time you have, worse on the amount of time you have, yeah." (D.
